Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
Our Commitment
Boston’s Best Events is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe every guest should be able to research venues, plan an event, and reach our team without barriers.
Conformance Standard
This site is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA conformance level — the standard cited by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and most state-level accessibility laws.
Measures We Take
- Automated accessibility testing on every published page (axe-core, no critical violations).
- Manual screen-reader testing on primary task flows: venue browsing, event inquiry, contact.
- Keyboard-only navigation testing on every page.
- Color-contrast verified at 4.5:1 minimum for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Semantic HTML landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) on every page. - Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on this site may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working on:
- Captions and transcripts on event-recap videos (when added).
- Improving the announcement of dynamic content updates for screen-reader users.
